Both new and retrofit construction can be a challenge when trying to install standard size Ceiling Can Lights in non-standard size ceiling holes. ActiveLED^® Bezel Assemblies are available in a multitude of different sizes (O/D and I/D) with an ingenious mounting sysytem to seamlessly install standard size Can Lights in oversize holes, providing a decorative design that covers-up any existing ceiling blemishes

Whether it is new construction or during a lighting retrofit, what should be a 6" diameter hole in the ceiling drywall or tile turns out to be 6-7/8". Or existing 8" Metal Halide fixtures were installed using custom-made over-sized ceiling inserts that are 13-1/4" outer diameter and 1-7/8" tall.

One solution is to perform very messy, expensive and time-consuming ceiling repair work to accomodate standard-size ceiling cans. And even after the ceiling repairs have been made the repairs will need to be textured and painted in an effort to match the existing ceiling or sub-strate.

ActiveLED^® Series Bezels and Mounting Systems

Simply remove existing lighting fixtures (bulbs) and install ActiveLED Ceiling Can Lights in the existing holes or apertures using ActiveLED Bezels and Bezel Mounting Systems.
The following schematic is a standard ActiveLED 8" Ceiling Can Light installed in an oversized 9-3/4" O/D hole that has a lip that protrudes 1-7/8" above the ceiling surface, utilizing the ActiveLED Bezel and Mounting System:

Ordering Requirements for ActiveLED Bezels

When ordering non-standard size Bezels for ActiveLED Can Lights please provide the following information:

• Size of required ActiveLED Ceiling Can Light - 4", 6", 8", 10" or 12".
• Desired wattage of ActiveLED Ceiling Can Light.
• Outer Diameter of existing ceiling hole.
• Required Outer Diameter of new Bezel, sufficient to cover-up any marks on the ceiling.
• Depth of existing ceiling hole, for example measured from under-surface of ceiling substrate to top surface or to the top of recessed mounting rim.
• Diffuser - choose from Polycarbonate or Translucent.
• Desired color of new Bezel.
