The U.S.-manufactured ActiveLED^® Rhoomba Retrofit is an innovative, self-contained LED light engine designed to easily replace the inefficient, high-wattage light bulb assembly in most existing Lithonia Gateway VGR2C wall or ceiling-mount fixtures, providing energy savings of 50-80 percent.

Public and private parking structures in business and residential neighborhoods, municipalities, universities and colleges use Lithonia Gateway style luminaires for sidewalks, walkways and public spaces. The Lithonia VGR2C is a round-eyelid, rough-service wall or ceiling-mounted fixture that has a die-cast aluminum housing and bezel designed to endure extreme environmental conditions and physical abuse, 13.75" outer diameter by 6.88" deep. Typically, these lights have incandescent or compact fluorescent bulbs and ballasts that need regular maintenance.

The existing bulbs can be retrofitted with the low-wattage ActiveLED Rhoomba engine and the Lithonia fixtures still have the same "robust" characteristics. The only noticeable difference in its outward appearance is a better quality of light, which improves the safety value of its surroundings.
Ringdale’s patented LED technology also ensures a long life span of 90,000 hours (24/7 is 8,760 hours per year), lowering the bottom line when it comes to maintenance and operational costs.

Removing Existing Lithonia Gateway VGR2C Luminaire Bulb & Electronics Assembly

It is a very straightforward process to remove the existing Lithonia Luminaire electronics assembly in preparation for installing the ActiveLED Rhoomba Retrofit, as described below.
Before starting any disassembly / assembly work, first disconnect the AC power from the Wall-Mount Luminaire.

•	Loosen the two or three screws that secure the bezel to the fixture body, safely put to one side for reassembly.
•	Remove existing Bulb, Bulb Holder and Ballast Electronics from the body of the Luminaire by removing two or three machine screws (details may vary slightly based on the model of Luminaire).
•	Connect the AC cabling from the ActiveLED Rhoomba retrofit to the AC line feed within the Lithonia fixture.
•	Carefully place the complete ActiveLED Retrofit assembly into the Luminaire and secure using the two or three existing machine screws.
•	Reconnect the AC power to verify that the installation is correct and the ActiveLED Retrofit is illuminated.
•	Reattach the bezel to the body of the Luminaire.

The existing electronics assembly will need to be disposed of safely and in accordance with local regulations.

NOTES:
(1) Lithonia Gateway Luminaire fixture, glass and wall mounting are not included in the ActiveLED retrofit price.

(2a) Since existing lens (glass or polycarbonate) for fixture has probably been seriously degraded over time by UV light, the lens should be replaced at the same time as the ActiveLED Engine is installed.

(2b) Alternatively, Ringdale can replace the lens if the Bezel is sent to the Ringdale factory at the time of ordering the retrofit, lens sold and priced separately.
